Resumo

Tem sido descrito na clínica médica que alguns pacientes relatam analgesia, um fenômeno muito mal estudado em neurociência, quando consideramos serem sua causa reações convulsivas. Como alguns medicamentos antiepilépticos podem causar analgesia, e a maioria dos pacientes serem medicados já desde longa data, esse feto tem sido um agravante no estudo desse fenômeno. Assim, procuraremos estudar no presente projeto a neurotransmissão serotoninérgica na analgesia pós-ictal, com administrações periféricas (intraperitoneal) e centrais (microinjeções) de antagonistas farmacológicos com o objetivo de caracterizar receptores 5-HT que participam nesse processo antinociceptivo, em um modelo experimentai de epilepsia em Rattus norvegicus (Rodentia, Muridae).
