Postdoc by the Department of Geoscience, Environment and Territorial Planning of the University of Porto (Portugal); Postdoc by the University of São Paulo (CENA/USP); Doctor in Sciences by the University of São Paulo (CENA/USP); Master's in Plant Biodiversity and Environment by the Institute of Botany of São Paulo (IBT/SP); graduated in Geosciences by the Institute of Geosciences of USP (IGc/USP) and also in Biological Sciences by University Mackenzie (UPM). With a keen interest in environmental issues, his research focuses on understanding ecological patterns and processes, with an emphasis on biogeochemical cycling, climate change, air pollution and nature conservation. In terms of scope, innovation and impact of its activities, the following stand out: a) the coordination of projects with funding (FAPESP); b) publication of scientific articles in journals with a strict editorial policy; c) coordination in environmental public policies for municipalities (university extension); d) patent registration; e) publication of technical and science popularization books. With teaching experience in undergraduate and graduate courses (Lato and Stricto sensu), the researcher has supervision at different levels of education (from scientific initiation to doctorate). Currently, the researcher organizes two collections (one technical and the other to popularize science) with the support of UN agencies (FAO and UNEP), ICLEI, Sociedade Botânico do Brasil and Sociedade de Ecologia do Brasil.
