Degree in Medicine from the University of São Paulo (1980) and a PhD in Medicine from the Westfalische Wilhelmes Universitat Muenster (Prof. E. Grudmann, 1987). His title of specialist in Pathology was obtained at Unicamp, where he did his Medical Residency between 1981 and 1983, and by the Brazilian Society of Pathology/Brazilian Medical Association (2001). Obtained the degree of Associate Professor in Pathology at the Department of Pathological Anatomy of the Faculty of Medical Sciences at Unicamp (2001), where he has been a Full Professor since April 2005. His more specific area of expertise is Hematopathology, Immunohistochemistry and Hybridization, having performed in these internships in the following services: University of Kiel (Prof. Karl Lennert, 1986), Deutsches Krebsforschungzentrum, Heidelberg (Prof. Lutz Gissmann, 1988), University of Paris (Prof. Jacques Diebold, 1992), University of Toulouse, France (Profs. Georges Delsol and Pierre Brousset, 1992 and 2005). Retired from Unicamp since 2017. Since 2018, Hematopathology consultant at Rede D'Or, SP. He is the co-owner of the Multipat Pathology Laboratory (Campinas-SP). (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
