B.S. in Chemistry from the Institute of Chemistry of the São Paulo State University (UNESP/CAr). Currently Professor MS3.2 at the São Carlos Institute of Chemistry, University of São Paulo (IQSC/USP). Postdoctoral fellow at the Department of General and Inorganic Chemistry at the Institute of Chemistry at UNESP / Araraquara (2011-2017) and at the Institute for Photonics and Advanced Sensing (IPAS) in the University of Adelaide, Australia (2013-2014). Master in Space Engineering and Technology in the area of Materials Science and Sensors at the National Institute for Space Research (2007) and PhD in Chemistry by the Institute of Chemistry of UNESP/Araraquara (2011) in Inorganic Chemistry and Vitreous Materials. He is currently a tutor for the PET Química IQSC group and vice-president of the Graduate Commission at IQSC-USP. He has experience in the area of Materials and Inorganic Chemistry, with emphasis on inorganic materials, vitreous, glass-ceramics, ceramics and optical fibers. Its main activity is the synthesis of optically active inorganic and vitreous materials, waveguides, optical sensors, special glasses (not silica) and the use of structural, thermal and optical characterization techniques, focusing on photonic applications.
