Tuliana Oliveira Brunes

Graduated in Biological Sciences (Licenciatura / Bacharelado) from the Pontifical Catholic University of Goiás (2006), master's degree in Biodiversity and Genetic Resources (2009) and doctorate in Biodiversity, Genetics and Evolution (2014) from the University of Porto, Portugal. Tuliana is interested in several areas of knowledge such as biodiversity, phylogeny, phylogeography, conservation genetics and mainly to understand the mechanisms involved in the process of spontaneous and non-spontaneous speciation of Neotropical amphibians and lizards using fragments of genes and genomic data. In addition, it is using climate and environmental information based on Geographic Information Systems (GIS) data to assess the influence of past environmental conditions on the current distribution of species, mainly with a focus on parthenogenetic and polyploid taxa.
