Prof. Paulo Sergio Rodrigues has Bachelor (UFPA, 1996) in Computer Science, MSc (UFMG, 1999) and PhD (UFMG, 2003) in Computer Science from UFMG with stage at Univertità Degli Studi di Ancona, Italy (UDSA, 1999). During the years 2003-2006 he was a Postdoctoral fellowship at the National Laboratory for Scientific Computing (LNCC, Petrópolis, RJ). About 15 years ago, his main area of interest have been Computer Vision Bio-Inspired in Cognitive Processes, Image Processing and Complexty of Natural Systems. He has the medical field as one of his main targets of the results of their work. In 2005-2006 he published several papers in the area of analysis of breast cancer images and currently has been dedicated to develop and test models of neural cognitive vision. Since 2007 he is Associate Professor of Department of Computer Science of the University Center of FEI in Sao Bernardo do Campo, SP, and member of the Signal Processing Group, Department of Electrical the same institution. He is a professor in the Doctoral Program in Electrical Engineering, emphasis on Signal and Image Processing, teaching the disciplines of Computer Vision and Computational Geometry. In the Graduation, he acts as coach of the FEI Programming Contest group and he is also a Institutional Representative of SBC and Brazilian Informatics Olympiad, and teach Computer Graphics classes.
