PhD in Sociology from the Federal University of São Carlos, with a doctoral internship at Goldsmiths College - University of London and at the Conservatoire National des Arts et Métiers (Cnam) - Paris. Holds a master's degree in Sociology from UFSCar and a degree in Social Sciences from the same institution. He is currently a post-doctoral researcher at the Institute of Architecture and Urbanism at the University of São Paulo (IAU-USP). He is currently an International Fellow at the Center for Latin American Studies (CLAS) at the University of Chicago, with support from the Urban Studies Foundation. His research lies at the interface between Urban Studies and Sociology of Work, with emphasis on debates about informalities, labor culture, urban markets, and management strategies of urban popular economies.
