Currently works as a university lecturer and researcher in the Information Science Department, at the Federal University of São Carlos, S.P., Brazil, currently holding the posts of Programme Coordinator for the post-graduate course In Science, Technology and Society (PPGCTS-UFSCar), as well as teaching and supervising on the postgraduate course in Library and Information Science (PPGCI-UFSCar). Was the Coordinator of the Working Group for Implanting UFSCar´s Institutional Repository. Is member of the Editorial Committee of the University Press-UFSCar (EDUFSCar). Has research experience in the Social Studies of Science and Technology and Information Science, focussing on Scientific Communication Processes, in the following subjects: Public Understanding of Science & Technology, Sustainable Development & Communication, Information Users and Literacy, Scientific Communication and Open Access.
