Research associate at the Department of Health Sciences da University of York (UK). PhD and MSc by the Department of Psychobiology at the Federal University of São Paulo (UNIFESP). Psychologist by the Federal University of Juiz de Fora (UFJF). Worked as Visiting Research Fellow (2019). He is also researcher at the Unviersidade Federal de São Paulo (UNIFESP), Brazil. He has experience in research on psychosocial aspects related to the use of psychotropic drugs and their health implications, particularly on web-based intervention, mechanisms of behaviour change, epidemiological studies, public policies, brief intervention, statistical analysis and research methods. Teaching experience on neurobiology and psychopharmacology of drugs use, screening and brief intervention, addiction treatment, among other. Currently is co-mentor of undergraduate and graduated students at the Departamento de Psicobiologia (UNIFESP) and an associated researcher of the Núcleo de Pesquisa sobre Saúde e Uso de Substâncias (NEPSIS) working in the development of the II Brazilian Report on Drugs (Funding: Ministry of Justice) and Innovative interventions related to alcohol consumption problems in Brazil (Funding: FAPESP), as well as reviewer of national and international journals. Among other experiences, he was supervisor of the distance learning course SUPERA (System for Detection of Misuse and Dependence of Psychoactive Substances: Routing, Brief Intervention, Social Reintegration and Monitoring); professor and coordinator of the Brief Intervention module at the Regional Reference Center DIMESAD-UNIFESP; student representative at the Dep. de Psicobiologia; and member of the committee to elaborate the Policy on Drugs of UNIFESP.
