Maria de Lourdes Bueno Trindade Galo received the Graduate degree in forestry engineering from the Federal University of Viçosa, Minas Gerais, Brazil, in 1981. She received the M.S. degree in remote sensing from the National Institute for Space Research (INPE), São José dos Campos, São Paulo, in 1988 and the Ph.D. degree in Environmental Engineering Sciences from the University of São Paulo (USP), São Carlos, Brazil, in 2000. Currently, she is an Assistant Professor in the School of Technology and Sciences at São Paulo State University, Presidente Prudente, Brazil.
