Lucia Vilela Leite Filgueiras

Lucia Vilela Leite Filgueiras has graduated in Electric Engineering at Escola Politecnica, Universidade de São Paulo in 1983. Her master (1989) and doctoral (1996) research were at Escola Politecnica, Universidade de São Paulo. She has worked as engineer and consultant in several projects related to human-computer interaction in critical process control systems such as nuclear power plants, military ships, train and chemical plants. She is presently with Universidade de São Paulo, where she leads research in human-computer interaction in the Department of Computer Engineering of Escola Politecnica. Her reseach interests include user experience evaluation and information visualization, presently applied to Public Healh Systems; also human reliability, electronic government, social and assistive technology and distributed user interaction. She held a position of assistant director to CCE, the Technology Information Center at USP capital campus from 2010-2013 and the Executive Chair of USP Legal, the USP Disabilities Service from 2012 to 2015. She collaborates in research projects with Pateo@InovaUSP, laboratory for research and innovation in Games and Digital Solutions; with Interlab, the EPUSP lab for Interactive Technology and with FAU-USP DIS, lab for Design and Innovation for Health.
