Graduated in Psychology from the Methodist University of Piracicaba (1983), Master's in Special Education from the Federal University of São Carlos (1989), PhD in Experimental Psychology from the University of São Paulo (1995), Associate Professor in Education from Unesp in Marília (1995). 2008), and Post-Doctorate at UERJ (2014). He was a member of the Advisory Committee - Education of CNPq (2018-2022). He was president of the Brazilian Association of Researchers in Special Education (2004-2007) and member of the board from 2004 to 2017. He was editor-in-chief of the Brazilian Journal of Special Education (2001-2017) and Editor-in-Chief of the publishing house - Abpee (2006- March 2022). President of the Research Commission of the Faculty of Philosophy and Sciences - FFC (2007-2009); Chair of the FFC Accessibility Committee (2005-2012); Head of the Special Education Department (1995-1999 and 2016-2018); Coordinator of the Graduate Program in Education (2002-2004). He currently works as a volunteer professor at the Graduate Program in Education at the Universidade Estadual Paulista Júlio de Mesquita Filho, Unesp, Campus de Marília. He has experience in the area of Special Education and develops research on Research Methodology, Assistive Technology, Accessibility and training of professionals in Special Education and School Inclusion. He is leader of the Physical and Sensory Disabilities Research Group (CNPq, 1997), editor of the Revista da Associação Brasileira de Atividade Motora Adapted since 2013 and editor-in-chief of the editor of Sobama-Sociedade Brasileira de Atividade Brasileira Adapted (2022).
