Marcos Tadeu Tavares Pacheco

Electronic Engineering at Technological Institute of Aeronautics (1976), master's degree at Instituto Tecnológico de Aeronáutica (1979), M.Phil. - at University of Southampton, UK (1983), and Ph.D. - at University of Southampton, UK (1986). As a visiting scientist at Massachusetts Institute of Technology - MIT in Boston in the USA in 1995 had a joint supervising with laboratory group leader prof. Michael Feld of doctoral thesis which produced a indexed paper in 2006. Was full-time researcher at the National Institute for Space Research and the Institute for Advanced Research CTA, where he organized and led several research groups. He was professor of Undergraduate and Graduate courses at ITA and various universities and served as Pro Rector, Director of Research and Graduate establishing an Institute for Research and Development in one. Organized at ITA, the INPE in IEAv / CTA and several other universities dozens of research groups and several courses of Masters and PhDs all recommended by CAPES and recognized by the MEC. Acts as a scientific advisor and ad hoc reviewer at FAPESP, CNPq and CAPES since 1991, assessing scientific and technological projects. In PADCT / FINEP was chosen as a consultant in evaluating proposals. Invited to give Course on Research Management and Graduate by CRUB-Council of Rectors of Brazilian Universities. He is currently professor at Universidade Anhembi Morumbi. He has more than 1200 citations in the ISI and 300 publications, including more than 140 scientific publications in journals indexed in the ISI, with a h-index of 20, guided numerous dissertations and doctoral theses, and his main interest currently is in the area of diagnostics in biological tissues using optical techniques and brain interpretations of external stimuli.
