Ana Paula has a degree is Letras from the Universidade Federal de Juiz de Fora (1988), a Master's degree in Linguistics from the Universidade Estadual de Campinas (1996) and is a PhD in Linguistics from the Universidade Estadual de Campinas (2004). She has been in three long term visits to the University of Calgary (Calgary), the University College London (2011-2012) and the Universidade Estadual de Campinas (2017-2018). She has experience in Linguistics, working with formal grammar in the field of Generative Grammar, particularly in Distributd Morphology. She is interested in the interfaces Morphology has with Syntax, Phnology and Semantics and is working with argument structure, syncretism, as well as with the derivation of affixeless deverbal nouns, innovative participles, truncated forms, and adjectives used as adverbs.
