Marco Aurélio Gerosa

Dr. Gerosa is an Associate Professor at the Northern Arizona University. He researches Software Engineering and CSCW. Recent projects include the development of tools and strategies to support newcomers onboarding to open source software communities and the design of chatbots for tourism. He published more than 200 papers, and his production has an impact factor of 27 (Google Scholar). He serves on the program committee (PC) of important conferences, such as FSE, CSCW, SANER, and MSR, and as a reviewer for several journals. Moreover, he served as the PC Chair of IEEE ICGSE and CRIWG and as a co-editor of several journals special issues. He graduated 4 Ph.D. and 12 M.Sc. students and has more than 15 years of teaching experience. In addition to his research, he also coordinates award-winning open source projects.
