graduation at Licenciatura Em Matemáticas from Universidad Pedagogica Nacional (1984), master's at Matemáticas from Universidad de Los Andes (1990) and doctorate at Mathematics from Instituto Nacional de Matemática Pura e Aplicada (1994). He is currently full professor at Universidade de São Paulo. Has experience in Mathematics, focusing on Partial Differential Equations, acting on the following subjects: equações dispersivas, estabilidade nao-linear, existencia de ondas viajantes periodicas, problema de cauchy and funções elipticas de jacobi.
