Biologist graduated from the Universidade Estadual Paulista Júlio de Mesquita Filho (UNESP - Institute of Biosciences of São Vicente - IB 2013). Master of Science with a qualification in biodiversity from the same institution (2017). Doctor of Science (2021), with a qualification in Interdisciplinary Health Sciences (UNIFESP - BS). Received an honorable mention at the CAPES Tesis award, interdisciplinary area (2022). He is currently carrying out a Post-Doctorate at the Faculty of Applied Sciences (UNICAMP) in partnership with the University of Aveiro (UA - Portugal). He has been a FAPESP fellow since 2010 (IC, MS, DOC, and BEPE modalities) and is currently a PD fellow. He has experience in botany applied to biotechnology, with an emphasis on the bioprospecting of molecules, specifically of plant and food matrices. He carried out research internships in Italy (Università Degli Studi di Salerno, 2013 - 2014) and Portugal (UA, 2018 - 2019, 2022-2023), as well as presentations at international congresses (Argentina, France, United Kingdom, Germany, Italy, and Portugal ), poster and oral modalities. Currently, his line of research is focused on developing sustainable processes for the extraction of bioactive compounds, focusing on the coupling of techniques (extraction + analysis) to obtain biologically active and safe extracts. In these processes, alternative non-volatile solvents are used, namely ionic liquids, eutectic mixtures, edible oils, and surfactants. He has mastered the techniques of high-performance liquid chromatography, mass spectrometry, alternative purification of biomolecules, scanning electron microscopy, and molecular biology.
