Dr. Antonio Carlos S. C. Teixeira (Ms., 1993, Ph.D., 1998, University of Sao Paulo) is Assistant Professor at the Chemical Engineering Department, University of São Paulo, Brazil, since 2005, and member of the Chemical Systems Engineering Center (CESQ) and of the National Institute of Science and Technology for Environmental Studies (INCT-EMA). He is lecturing of Chemical Reactor Engineering, Mass and Energy Conservation, and Advanced Oxidation Processes Engineering. He has supervised 20 M.Sc., 9 Ph.D. students and 6 post-doc fellows. He is currently supervising 1 post doctoral fellow, 7 Ph.D., 1 M.Sc., and 1 undergraduate students. He holds as author and co-author over 75 refereed journal papers, 279 communications in scientific meetings, one patent and 9 book chapters. He is the coordinator of the Research Group in Advanced Oxidation Processes (AdOx). His research interests include: development of advanced processes for the treatment of liquid and gaseous effluents; advanced oxidative processes; photochemical processes; degradation of micropollutants (drugs and pesticides) in water and wastewater; photoinduced degradation of micropollutants in aqueous matrices; development of microstructured photoreactors by 3D printing; homogeneous and heterogeneous photocatalysis; removal of VOCs by means of photocatalytic processes in fluidized bed in gas phase.
