Claudio Walter Gomez Duarte

PhD and Master's in Archaeology from the Museum of Archaeology and Ethnology at the University of São Paulo, MAE/USP, being a FAPESP (PhD) and CAPES (Master's) grantee. Professor of the Bachelor's degree program in Archaeology at the Metropolitan University of Santos, UNIMES. Conducted post-doctoral research in Architecture Technology at the Faculty of Architecture and Urbanism at the University of São Paulo, FAU/USP, as a CNPq grantee. Graduated in Architecture and Urbanism from the Mackenzie Presbyterian University, FAUMACK, in 1994. Member of the Laboratory of Studies on the Ancient City (Labeca, MAE/USP). Full member of the Brazilian Society of Archaeology (SAB) and the Brazilian Society of Classical Studies (SBEC). Research associate at the CNPq Research Group (Representations: Imaginary and Technology, RITe, FAU/USP); Research associate at the CNPq Research Group of the Provincial Roman Archaeology Laboratory, LARP (MAE/USP). Member of the archaeological research team in the project 'The Heraion of Delos', Greece (French School of Athens, EFA; Museum of Archaeology and Ethnology at the University of São Paulo, MAE/USP; Federal University of São Paulo, UNIFESP; Metropolitan University of Santos, UNIMES). Between 2017 and 2018, collaborated in archaeological excavations on the Island of Despotiko, Greece, at the Sanctuary of Apollo, conducting the survey of architectural structures and employing traditional techniques and digital photogrammetry, generating 3D models. As a professor, taught 16 disciplines in the field of Brazilian Archaeology. Acting as a researcher, has experience in Classical Archaeology, focusing on Greek Architecture from the Archaic, Classical, and Hellenistic periods, having taught several courses on the subject. Publications focus on Architectural Design or the Design of Greek Doric Temples. Conducted research on the reception of Classical Architecture in Brazil, in São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro, with publications on Neoclassical and Eclectic buildings in Santos, SP.
