Got his Bachelor degree in Chemistry at the University of Santa Maria (Brazil, 2010) and his Master degree in Organic Chemistry at the University of Campinas (Brazil, 2011). Obtained his PhD degree at the Max Planck Institute for Chemical Ecology (Jena, Germany, 2016), investigating the metabolism and detoxification of maize chemical defenses by Lepidoptera. Conducted post-doctoral research at the University of Campinas, studying the biosynthesis and evolution of chemical defenses from harvestmen. Currently, is an Assistant Professor in the Chemistry Department at Federal University of São Carlos (UFSCar). His research focus on Chemical Ecology,, Plant-Insect Interactions, and Arthropod Biochemistry. Has experience in Organic Chemistry, focusing on Natural Products Chemistry, Chemical Ecology, and Organic Synthesis, as well as Biochemistry and Molecular Biology. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
