Presently, professor at the Faculdade de Medicina da Universidade de São Paulo, and head of the Laboratório de Micologia Médica (LIM-53) from the Divisão de Clínica Dermatologica, Hospital das Clínicas/Instituto de Medicina Tropical, FMUSP, and Medical-researcher of the Laboratório de Investigação em Dermatologia e Imunodeficiências (LIM56, Divisão de Clínica Dermatológica HC-FMUSP). Main areas of expertise are the study of the host-parasite interaction, with emphasis in leprosy and paracoccidioidomycosis, and new tools in mycological diagnosis; started a new area of research in immunosenescence.
