Ariovaldo V. Garcia holds a degree (1974), a master's degree (1977) and a doctorate (1981) in Electrical Engineering from the State University of Campinas (UNICAMP). He was a professor at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering of UNICAMP where he retired as a full professor on 01.10.2010. He has experience in Electrical Engineering, with emphasis on Electric Energy Transmission, Distribution of Electric Energy, working mainly in the following subjects: electric power systems, real-time control of electric energy systems, state estimation, expansion planning transmission of electric power systems. He was an independent consultant in the area of real-time control of electric power systems through the company AV Garcia Tecnología de Informação until 01.02.2019.
