Liane M. Rossi received her PhD in inorganic chemistry from the Federal University of Santa Catarina (Brazil) in 2001. After a two year postdoctoral stay at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (Brazil) and a one year postdoctoral stay at University of New Orleans (USA), in 2004, she joined the Institute of Chemistry at University of Sao Paulo (Brazil), where she is now a Full Professor of Chemistry. Visiting professor at the Stockholm University (2023/24). Permanent Member of the Brazilian Academy of Science since 2022. Her research interests include studies in the field of catalysis, especially in the investigation of the unique properties of metallic nanoparticles for the design of heterogeneous catalysts with high control over composition, size, morphology and surface chemical properties. She has focused on the study of hydrogenation and oxidation reactions, with an emphasis on the conversion of carbon dioxide and biomass derivatives. She coordinates the Cabon Capture and Utilization - CCU Program at the Research Centre for Greenhouse Gas Innovation - RCGI, sponsored by FAPESP and SHELL, since 2020. She is currently serving as Editorial Board Member for Chemistry Select, Advisory Board Member for ACS Catalysis, and an International Advisory Board Member for Angewandte Chemie. She served as an Associate Editor for ACS Sustainable Chemistry and Engineering (2021/23). She is a member of SBQ, CBCat, ACS e RSC. Recipient of the "King Carl XVI Gustaf Professorship in Environmental Science 2023/24" award, a prestigious honor that recognizes her outstanding contributions and expertise in the field of environmental science.
