Birthplace: Brazil

I received my Physics degree from the University of Campinas (Unicamp - Brazil) with emphasis in Medical Physics, my Ph.D. degree in Neurosciences also from Unicamp, and was a postdoctoral scholar at the University of Calgary (Canada) studying the effects on concussion in the brain. Currently, I am a post-doctoral fellow at Unicamp investigating epilepsy patients using neuroimaging and machine learning techniques to predict prognosis. I have a keen interest in research and education involving Neurosciences, Physics, Medical Physics and Mathematics, and I am focused in the interplay of these areas towards the study of the brain. I am also curious about machine/deep learning and altered states of consciousness (e.g.: meditation). (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
