Graduate at Ciências Biológicas Licenciatura Plena from Universidade Federal de Uberlândia (2000) and master's at Zoology from Universidade Estadual Paulista Júlio de Mesquita Filho (2003). Finished the doctoral (2008) and post-doctoral (2011) programs in the Museu de Zoologia da Universidade de São Paulo. Currently is councelor of the Brazilian Crustacean Society (SBC) and Visiting Professor at the Universidade Regional do Cariri - URCA. Supervises graduate studies in Zoology in the Universidade Estadual Paulista "Júlio de Mesquita Filho" - UNESP (Campus Botucatu) and in Biological diversity and natural resources (PPGDR) of URCA. Is a member of the scientific committee of the UNESCO Geopark Araripe. Has experience in Zoology, acting on the subjects Taxonomy, Systematics, Phylogeny, Paleontology and Morphology of Crustacea focusing on Brachyuran crabs. Also is interested in the larval development and heterochronic patterns in Decapoda. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
