Graduated in Electrical Engineering from Escola de Engenharia de Lins (1987), a master's degree, and a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from UFSC - Federal University of Santa Catarina in 1993 and 2001, respectively. He has been teaching since 1988 in the electrical engineering department of UNESP - São Paulo State University. Currently, he is an associate professor at UNESP, in Ilha Solteira. He has experience in Electrical Engineering, with emphasis on Power Electronics, working mainly on the following topics: three-state switching cells (3SSC), active power factor correction, multipulse converters, AC-DC and DC-DC converters.
