Doctor and Master in Social Anthropology from Unicamp. He is currently a professor at the Federal Institute of São Paulo-IFSP. He has been a professor since 2008 and has extensive teaching experience at all levels of education: Elementary, Middle, pre-university, higher and post-graduate. He has worked on a research team in the Amazon region and has carried out fieldwork in several other contexts in Brazil (Minas Gerais, Goiás, Espírito Santo and São Paulo) and today he conducts research in the Brazilian semiarid region, focusing on the Cariri region of Paraibano, an area with the lowest rainfall in the country.
