Denise is graduated in Pharmacy and Biochemistry - Clinical and Toxicological Analyses, holds a Master's degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences and a Ph.D. in Toxicology. Currently a professor at the University of Sorocaba, working in the Graduate Program in Pharmaceutical Sciences - Master's and Ph.D. - and in the Graduate Program in Technological and Environmental Processes - Master's and Professional Ph.D. Since 2019, she has been leading the Toxicological Research Laboratory - Lapetox Uniso. Her main areas of expertise include oxidative stress, antioxidants, nutraceuticals (including edible mushrooms), biomaterials (scaffolds, bacterial cellulose membrane), bioremediation, environmental toxicology, and environmental contamination. She currently coordinates the Graduate Program in Pharmaceutical Sciences at the University of Sorocaba and is a partner at the Bioloxcell startup. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
