Postdoctoral Researcher at the Health Ethics and Policy Lab, Department of Health Sciences and Technology, Institute of Translational Medicine, ETH Zürich. Before joining ETH, I was São Paulo Research Foundation's postdoctoral fellow in Social Studies of biomedical knowledge in the Faculty of Medicine of the University of São Paulo, Brazil. During this period, I've collaborated as fellow of the Brazilian National Institute of Science and Technology - Health Technology Assessment, and as PI of a Rapid- Response Grant on COVID- 19 and Social Sciences awarded by the Social Sciences Research Council of New York City SSRC. I hold a Ph.D. Degree in Science and Technology Policy Studies from the University of Campinas, Brazil, and a B.A. in International Relations from the State University of São Paulo, Brazil. My field is Science and Technology Studies (STS) with emphasis in the study of how scientists and technology developers build and share practices, norms, values and beliefs in Synthetic biology- related domains. The project I am currently involved addresses topics of Social Studies of Science, Philosophy of Science and Engineering, and Ethics, regarding social, ethical and epistemic dimensions of the emerging field of Molecular Systems Engineering. Over the last years, I've been working on those topics as a visiting scholar in the Columbia University?s Department of Sociology, Cornell University?s Department of Science and Technology Studies, New York University?s Stern School of Business and the Institute for the Study of Science, Technology and Innovation ISSTI, University of Edinburgh, UK.
