Licentiate and Bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences at Universidade Estadual Paulista Júlio de Mesquita Filho (2005/2006). Master's and Doctorate degree in Genetics studying the genetic variability and evolution of Hepatitis C virus (HCV). Worked as a Visiting Scientist during a "sandwich doctorate" at Saint Louis University - St. Louis - MO - USA. Currently is a Post-doctoral fellow at the Genomic Studies Laboratory and a Professor at the Microbiology Post-graduation Program (UNESP-IBILCE).
