MSc in Nuclear Technology - Materials by the National Nuclear Energy Commission (1993), PhD in Nuclear Technology Applications by the Institute of Nuclear and Energy Research (2000) and specialization in advanced ceramics and soil remediation by the Japan Fine Ceramic Center-JFCC Nagoya-Japan and Hokkaido Obihiro University-Japan respectivamente. Participant on the development of management tool for soil remediation of contaminated sites (DARTS) at the International Center for Science and High Technology - ICS-UNIDO Trieste Italy. Currently the coordinator of research projects on water treatment, advisor and teacher of post graduation courses- TNM 5811 (techniques of materials characterization ) and TNA 5766 (environmental risk analysis) of the Institute for Nuclear and Energy Research / USP. Specialist in environmental sanitation with emphasis on water treatment and solid waste utilization, acting on the following topics: adsorption, magnetite, urban stream Monitoring- Pirajuçara, sorbents, removal and decomposition of pharmaceutical compounds on contaminated water.
