He has a Bachelor's degree in Physics from the State University of Campinas (2004), a master's degree (2007) and a doctorate (2011) in Molecular Biophysics from the Universidade Estadual Paulista, with a sandwich period (2009-2010) at the State University of New York at Stony Brook. The Post-Doctorate (2011-2013) was carried out by the National Biorenewables Laboratory (LNBR) of the National Center for Research in Energy and Materials (CNPEM), in Campinas. He is currently an associate professor in the Department of Physics at the Federal University of Triângulo Mineiro, and a visiting professor at the Center for Theoretical Biological Physics (CTBP), Rice University. He has experience in the area of Molecular Biophysics, working mainly on the following topics: energy landscape, computational simulation, protein and ribosome folding, molecular docking and chromatin dynamics.
