Possui graduação em Ciências Biológicas (bacharelado e licenciatura) pela Universidade Estadual do Oeste do Paraná (2000), mestrado (08/2003) e doutorado (11/2007) pelo Programa Biologia Molecular pela Universidade Federal de São Paulo (UNIFESP), doutorado Sanduíche pela University of British Columbia e o pós-doutoramento no Departamento de Biofísica da UNIFESP (12/2009). Desde 01/2010 é professora adjunto - dedicação exclusiva - UNIFESP - Campus Diadema, em 2011 foi professora visitante da McGill University, e desde 01/2014 é Adjunct Professor da McGill University (posição sem remuneração). Tem como foco de pesquisa o Estudo do envolvimento de proteases em processos fisiológicos e fisiopatológicos -especialmente a metalopeptidase PHEX, bem como outras proteases do metabolismo ósseo.
