Felipe Calliari was born in 1988 in Barão, Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil. In 2011 he enrolled in the engineering graduation course in the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro (PUC-Rio). In 2013, he began an internship program with Professor Jean Pierre von der Weid in the Optoelectronics and Instrumentation Group of Center for Telecommunication Studies in PUC-Rio. In 2017, he received his MsC degree from the same institution with a dissertation entitled "Automatic High-Dynamic and High-Resolution Photon Counting OTDR for Optical Fiber Network Monitoring". His main research interests are: optical communications; passive optical access networks monitoring; photon couting optical reflectometry; signal processing; FPGA and digital electronic circuits design.
