Arthur Rocha Gomes

Bachelor in Pharmacy (2014), Master in Pharmaceutical Sciences (2016) and PhD in Physiological Sciences (2021) from the Universidade Federal dos Vales do Jequitinhonha e Mucuri (UFVJM). He has a specialization (lato sensu postgraduate degree) in Calculus and Applied Mathematics from Ampli-Pitágoras (2023). During his PhD he attended an internship at Blast Research SLR in partnership with the Università degli Studi di Milano and Università dell'Insubria di Varese, where he was involved in activities such as the preparation of medical devices for aesthetic purposes and the elaboration of cosmetics. He held the position of substitute professor twice at UFVJM, in the disciplines of Experimental Nutrition, Research Methodology and Undergraduate thesis (Department of Nutrition - 2016 to 2018), Biochemistry and Oral Biochemistry (Department of Basic Sciences - 2022). For one year (2021), he was a pharmaceutical resident in the Specialization Program in Multiprofessional Residency in Elderly Health (RMSI-UFVJM), working in primary care and developing pharmacovigilance and epidemiological work on the use of benzodiazepines and antidepressants. Later, he joined as a tutor in the Pharmacy subarea at RMSI (2022), still participating in studies on interactions between drugs and nutrients in the clinical area. Among his experiences as a researcher, the areas of experimental nutrition (animal models of obesity and malnutrition), neuropsychopharmacology, inflammation and redox status, with a focus on the impact of different diets during the pre- and postnatal phases and the triggering of of behavioral changes in the offspring. He is currently a postdoctoral fellow at the University of São Paulo (USP), working with animal models of neonatal stress and neuroinflammation. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
