Bachelor in Geography, Federal University of Alfenas (UNIFAL-MG), Specialist in Planning and Management of Protected Natural Areas, Federal Institute of Southeast Minas Gerais (IFSUDESTE-MG), Master and Doctor in Agricultural Engineering, Federal University of Lavras (UFLA). He has experience in remote sensing applied to agri-environmental issues. He was an intern at EMBRAPA/CNPTIA and worked on mapping the remnants of native vegetation in Brazil for the Rural Environmental Registry (CAR), a partnership between UFLA, the Ministry of Environment, and the Brazilian Forest Service. He is currently a postdoctoral researcher at the Division of Earth Observation and Geoinformatics of the National Institute for Space Research (INPE), working with remote sensing techniques and Earth observation time series analysis for Cerrado biome phytophysiognomies spectral characterization, focused on agricultural monitoring. He contributes to the Brazil Data Cube Project, the Agricultural Remote Sensing Lab (AgriRS Lab), and the Geoinformatics and Big Data Science Lab (GeoBIDS). (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
