Universidade Estadual de Campinas (UNICAMP). Centro de Estudos de Energia e Petróleo (CEPETRO)  (Institutional affiliation for the last research proposal)
Birthplace: Brazil

He holds a doctorate in Mechanical Engineering from the Federal University of Santa Catarina (2020). His doctoral thesis presents an experimental and computational study in two-phase flows with different interface scales. He has a master's degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Federal University of Santa Catarina (2015). His master's dissertation presents a computational study of heat and mass transfer in spherical and deformed fluid particles. He is graduated in Mechanical Engineering from the State University of Santa Catarina (2013). His main topic of interest is the field of multiphase flows. He has experience with the experimental characterization of multiphase flows using the PIV (Particle Image Velocimetry) and PTV (Particle Tracking Velocimetry) techniques, developing digital imaging, deep learning and computer vision tools aimed for the analysis of multiphase flows. He also has experience with CFD (Computational Fluid Mechanics) modelling of multiphase flows. He was a member of the Petrobras/UFSC/SINMEC project "Numerical and Experimental Thermo-Fluid Dynamic Study of the Multiphase Twin-Screw Pumps" working on the development of CFD methods and experimental activities to characterize and analyze the multiphase pumping process. He is now a postdoctoral researcher at Energy Production Innovation Center (EPIC) at the University of Campinas (UNICAMP). Currently is working under the topic "Turbulence in two-phase flows", performing PIV and PTV experiments on a specially design transparent centrifugal pump. The experiments aim towards a better understanding of the two-phase liquid-liquid flow inside centrifugal pumps. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
