Associate Professor in the Department of Chemistry and Environmental Sciences of the Institute of Bioscience, Letters and Exact Sciences (IBILCE) at São Paulo State University in São José do Rio Preto-SP. Vice-coordinator of the Graduate Program in Chemistry at Unesp, SJRP (2022-2025). He has a degree in Chemistry from the State University of Maringá (1998), a master's degree in Chemistry from the State University of Maringá (2001), a PhD in Sciences from the State University of Campinas (2005) and a specialization in Environmental Management from the Federal University of São Carlos (2008). He served as a full member of the Graduate Course in Chemistry at IBILCE (2009-2020), as well as of the board of the Chemistry Department (2015-2017). I participated as a full member of the Turvo/Grande River Basin Committee (2010-2013) and in the creation of the Rio Grande River Basin Committee (2010-2013). I am currently a professor in the area of #8203;#8203;Analytical Chemistry and Environmental Management. I work as an advisor to the Autonomous Municipal Water and Sewage Service - Semae of São José do Rio Preto. I am a permanent professor and Vice-coordinator of the Postgraduate Program in Chemistry at IBILCE, Vice-coordinator of the Undergraduate course in Chemistry and advises students of scientific initiation, Master's and Doctorate in Chemistry. He has experience in the area of #8203;#8203;Chemistry and works on the following topics: Development of analytical methods for environmental samples, among others, studies of the dynamics of pollutants in the environment, such as pesticides, polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAH), metals, etc., use of biomass and biomass residues as precursors for new carbonaceous materials and their applications as soil conditioners, environmental remediation, energy and support for biomolecules. In the laboratory, we employ several techniques such as molecular fluorescence, spectrophotometry, atomic absorption with flame and graphite furnace, High Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC) and Gas Chromatography Coupled to Mass Spectrometry (GC-MS). He is currently president of the Multiuser Center for Environmental Chemical Analysis - CMAQA of the Mult USP Platform, where all the laboratory equipment was made available to the entire community inside and outside the University.
