PhD in Physics from the Université Paris-Diderot / Paris-7 (2012), assistant professor at the University Paris-Diderot / Paris-7 (2010-2012), post-doct and associate fellow at the Max-Planck Institute for Nuclear Physics in Heidelberg (2012-2017). Graduated in Astronomy from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (2008), Engineer Diploma from École Polytechnique (France, 2008), and Master in Physics and Theoretical Astrophysics from École Normale Supérieur de Lyon (France, 2009). He is currently an Assistant Professor at the São Carlos Physics Institute at the University of São Paulo (USP). He is a member of the H.E.S.S. collaboration (since 2009), where he was Convener of the Thematic Group of Astroparticles, member of the Observing Committee and member of the collaboration's Executive Board (2014-2017). He is also a member of the Cherenkov Telescope Array consortium (CTA, since 2011), where he coordinates the Galactic Center Key Science Project. He works in the field of high energy astrophysics and particle astrophysics, working mainly on the following topics: data analysis, simulation of atmospheric showers, search for dark matter, modeling of black hole astrophysics and its gamma emission, astrophysics from the Galactic Center, astrophysical modeling of acceleration and propagation of cosmic rays.
