Guilherme Nunes Lopes holds a Master's degree in Petroleum Sciences and Engineering from the State University of Campinas (UNICAMP) and a Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering from the Catholic University of Santos. Throughout his academic journey, he actively participated in international knowledge competitions such as Petrobowl, where he qualified for the global stage for three years, competing against the world's top universities. Among his professional experiences, his work as an intern at Petrobras stands out. He was part of a multidisciplinary team responsible for the management of the Lula field in the pre-salt region. He also worked at the Energy Production Innovation Center, a research center funded by Equinor and FAPESP, where he focused on optimizing the injection strategy for a field with characteristics similar to those of pre-salt fields. The major challenge of the project was to develop a strategy with zero CO2 emissions by reinjecting all the CO2 back into the reservoir. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
