She received his undergraduate degree in Industrial Engineering from Universidad Tecnológica de Pereira (2012), master's and doctorate degrees in Electrical Engineering from Universidade Estadual Paulista Júlio de Mesquita Filho (2015) and (2019), respectively. In addition, she did a doctoral internship at Universidad de Castilla la Mancha UCLM (2017-2018) in Spain as a visiting researcher. She has autonomy in developing research in the area of Electric Power Systems, formulating mathematical optimization methods for expansion and operation planning of the electric distribution system. Working mainly on the following topics: Expansion and operation planning of distribution systems, distributed energy systems, reliability topics, deterministic and stochastic optimization and convex programming.
