Gabriela Beduschi Zanfelice is a Master's student at the Department of Literary History of the State University of Campinas (UNICAMP), São Paulo, Brazil, and has a Bachelor's degree in Languages and Literatures from the same university. Her current research interests are within the fields of African Literatures and Comparative Literature, with emphasis on Mozambican Literature, Indian Ocean Studies, World-Literature and Postcolonial Theory. Translated the work "Combined and Uneven Development: Towards a new theory of world-literature" (WREC, 2015) from English to Portuguese ("Desenvolvimento Combinado e Desigual: Por uma nova teoria da Literatura-Mundial" [WREC, 2020]). She held a scholarship of Initiation to Scientific Research at the São Paulo Research Foundation (FAPESP) and, in 2019, carried out a period of Research Internship Abroad (BEPE-IC FAPESP) at the Department of English and Comparative Literary Studies of the University of Warwick (UK). She is a member of KALIBAN - The World Literature and Postcolonial Studies Research Group of the Brazilian National Council for Scientific and Technological Development (CNPq).
