Camila Pierobon Moreira Robottom

Postdoctoral Fellow at the International Postdoctoral Program (IPP) of the Brazilian Center for Analysis and Planning (CEBRAP). Visiting Researcher at the Department of Anthropology, Johns Hopkins University (2021-2022). PhD. from the Graduate Program in Social Sciences (PPCIS) of the State University of Rio de Janeiro (UERJ) with a study period at the Centre of Latin American Studies (CLAS) of the University of Cambridge, England. She develops research on the daily life of the urban poor in the city of Rio de Janeiro. Currently, she is dedicated to the research Intertícios: entre a violência masculina do estado, do tráfico de drogas e da família, um corpo de mulher, financed by FAPESP. She coordinates the Brazilian part of the research Implementation of COVID-19 related policies: Implications for household inequalities across five countries, whose general coordination is by Veena Das and Clara Han, from Johns Hopkins University (JHU), with funding from the National Science Foundation (NSF/USA). She is a researcher of the research group Viral Conjunctions (JHU), coordinated by Veena Das and Megha Sehdev; of DISTÚRBIO: Dispositivos, Tramas Urbanas, Ordens e Resistências (UERJ/UFRRJ), coordinated by Patrícia Birman and Carly Machado; of the Grupo Casa (IESP), coordinated by Mariana Cavalcanti and Eugênia Mota; of the group Urbano: Laboratório de Estudos da Cidade (UFRJ), coordinated by Júlia O'Donnel and Marcella Araujo; and the Núcleo de Etnografias Urbanas (NEU/CEBRAP), coordinated by Ronaldo Almeida and Gabriel Feltran. Graduated in Social Sciences by the State University of Londrina (UEL). Master in Social Sciences by PPCIS/UERJ and Specialist in Urban Sociology by UERJ. In both works, she developed studies about the relation between anthropology, literature and urban studies, through the analysis of novels by the Italian writer Italo Calvino.
