Birthplace: Uruguai

I have a Bachelor's degree in Anthropological Sciences from Facultad de Humanidades y Ciencias de la Educación, Uruguay (2011). I have a Masters degree in Archaeology (2018) by the Graduate Program in Archaeology of the Museu de Arqueologia e Etnologia (Universidade de São Paulo, Brasil). My main research interests focus on the relationship between archaeology and geosciences, i.e. Geoarchaeology, and on lithic technological analysis. In my bachelor monograph as well as in my masters research I tackled the issue of lithic raw material procurement among hunter-gatherers, by using artefactual and lithological indicators. I look forward to understanding different concepts, methods and techniques derived from the dialogue with the Earth sciences, in order to apply them to various archaeological contexts and research problems. For my Master project I used petrographic tools for the study of knappable lithic raw materials. For my PhD project, I look forward to understand the applications of geochemicha, micromorphological and other microarchaeological proxies in archaeology, to unravel site formation processes and anthropogenic contributions to sediments and soils (project supervised by Prof. Dr. Astolfo G. M. Araujo and Prof. Dr. Casimiro Munita). (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
