Bachelor's at Geologia from Universidade Federal da Bahia (1987), Master's at Geophysics from Universidade Federal do Pará (1991), Doctorate at Geoscience from Universidade Estadual Paulista Júlio de Mesquita Filho (1999) and Post-Doctorate in Geophysics from Western Michigan University, USA (2005). Since 1998 is Professor of Geophysics of the Universidade de São Paulo. Since 2007 is researcher of the CNPq. He is currently full professor at Universidade de São Paulo. Has experience in Geosciences, focusing on Applied Geophysics, acting on the following subjects: GPR - Ground Penetrating Radar, TDEM - Time Domain Electromagnetic, ER - Electrorresistivity.
