Victoria Simões Bernardo

Graduated in Biological Sciences from Instituto de Biociências, Letras e Ciências Exatas - Universidade Estadual Paulista Júlio de Mesquita Filho, campus de São José do Rio Preto (UNESP/IBILCE), in the modalities Bachelor (2019) and Licentiate (2021). She holds a master's degree (2021) from the Postgraduate Program in Biosciences of the same institute. She is currently a doctoral student at the same Program and Institute and works at the Laboratório de Biologia Redox e Toxicologia Genética (LaReTox) coordinated by Prof. Dr. Danilo Grunig Humberto da Silva. She has experience in the areas of Human and Medical Genetics, Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, working mainly on the following subjects: laboratory diagnosis and genetic guidance of people with hereditary hemoglobin alterations; molecular and biochemical markers involved in the pathophysiological processes of people with sickle cell disease; cellular and molecular mechanisms of redox adaptation and use of antioxidants as therapeutic alternatives (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
