Bahram Lavi received his Ph.D. degree in Computer Engineering from the University of Cagliari, Sardegna, Italy, in 2018. He made his research on Intelligence Video Surveillance Systems and formulated the efficiency of person re-identification problem within a multistage framework. He was also a recipient of the best Ph.D. researcher and student award in 2016. Next, he joined as a postdoctoral researcher at the Institute of Computing, State University of Campinas, SP, Brazil, in April 2018, and worked on the thematic project, entitled ?Dejavu? with related areas to Digital Forensics and Sensitive Multimedia Contents Analysis. The project was granted by the funding agency of Sao Paulo (FAPESP) for his three-year fellowship period. Since May 2021, he is a postdoctoral researcher with the school of applied mathematics (EMAp) at Fundação Getulio Vargas (FGV) in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, where he conducts and advances his research on the areas of digital forensics and crime analysis from heterogeneous media contents. He is also a frequent reviewer for several conferences and journals related to Information Forensics and Security. His research interests include pattern recognition, computer vision, and machine learning with applications to digital forensics and intelligence video surveillance systems.
