Legna Andreina Colina Vegas

Adjunct Professor at the Institute of Chemistry of the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul. Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry (LUZ-Venezuela), Master's and a Doctorate in Inorganic Chemistry (UFSCar). He has experience in Chemistry, with an emphasis on Inorganic Chemistry, working with organometallic and coordination complexes and their potential in vitro and in vivo as cytotoxic, antiparasitic and antifungal agents, as well as the study of in vitro and in vivo mechanisms of action with human tumor cells and targets of biological interest such as nucleic acids, proteins and heme group. Post doctorate in Analytical Chemistry with emphasis on cell sample preparation and spectrometric techniques with plasma source (ICP-OES and ICP-MS), with an internship at Ghent University-Belgium, working with Laser Ablation-ICPMS and tumor cells.
