Graduated in Accounting from the State University of Paraíba (UEPB), Specialist in Accounting-Tax Auditing from the Institute of Higher Education of Paraíba (IESP), Master in Accounting from the University of Brasilia (UnB/UFPB/UFRN), PhD in Accounting from the University of Brasilia (UnB/UFPB/UFRN) and Post-Doctorate in Controlling and Accounting from the University of São Paulo (USP). He has previous experience as accountant and consultant in the finance and accounting areas of public, private and non-profit organizations. He is currently Associate Professor of the Department of Finance and Accounting (DFC) of the Federal University of Paraíba (UFPB), acting as a permanent professor of the Postgraduate Programs in Accounting (PPGCC/UFPB) and in Administration (PPGA/UFPB). He is a member of the Academy of Accounting Sciences of Paraíba (APBCICON), is a Fiscal Advisor at the Institute for Advanced Studies in Communications (IECOM), is an Associate Editor of Advances in Scientific and Applied Accounting (ASAA Journal), and is the leader of the Accounting and Capital Markets Studies Center (NECMEC). His role as a researcher has an emphasis in the areas of accounting, corporate valuation and corporate governance, having several studies published in leading accounting congresses and journals.
