Anderson Luiz Ara Souza

Graduated in Statistics (2009), Master in Statistics (2011), titles obtained by the Federal University of São Carlos (UFSCar). PhD in Statistics (2016) through the Postgraduate Programs in Statistics (PPGEst-UFSCar) and Postgraduate Studies in Computer Science (PPG-CC-UFSCar). Since August 2021 Assistant Professor at the Federal University of Paraná (UFPR), campus Curitiba / PR, Department of Statistics (DEst) of the Exact Sciences Sector. Assistant Professor at the Federal University of Bahia (2017-2021), Salvador/BA campus, Department of Statistics (DEst) of the Institute of Mathematics and Statistics (IME) and Lecturer at the SENAI-SP Technology Faculty (2009-2015), campus São Carlos/SP. Lecturer of Specialization in Data Science & Big Data (DSBD-UFPR), MBA in Corporate Finance (UTFPR) and Data Science and Big Data (ECD-UFBA). Researcher at the Graduate Program in Numbers Methods in Engineering (PPGMNE) at UFPR on Statistical Methods research. Researcher at the Graduate Program in Mathematics (PGMAT) with a Concentration in Statistics area at IME-UFBA. In current collaboration in research developed in the field of Data Science at the Center for Integration of Data and Knowledge for Health (CIDACS). Research fellow at Microsoft Artificial Intelligence for Earth and the Wellcome Trust Foundation. He works mainly in the following areas: Statistical Machine Learning, Statistical Inference and Computational Methods. He has supervised and published in national and international journals in the field.
